Trust

Hope you had a beautiful Monday!
It was a sunny one here but a bit on the cool side for me.

Sasha over at LemonadeMakinMama had asked if we had a word that would best describe the year ahead. I thought about it for about a second and decided "No" was my word.  Wow, that sounded harsh didn't it!
Do you ever feel like you say "yes" to too many things and you never get ahead but instead just go in circles? No.. I'm the only one..ok. Moving on then.

I don't plan on saying "NO" to everything that comes along but I do need to slow down and make time for the things that are truly important to me.
I need to spend more time with the Lord everyday..
More time with family
Enjoying my kids and hubby more
Finish wedding plans
Important things like that.

Another area I really struggle with is Trust!
I'm feeling a little weird sharing that right now but its true.
I need to learn to trust more.

I struggle with this in friendships, relationships and even sometimes with the Lord (ouch).
So as a reminder I made a small frame to put on the mantel where I can see it everyday to remind me to
TRUST, both in HIM and in others.

I found a small frame at GW and used an old book page I had and placed in the glass

Added some stickers (Hobby Lobby)

A bow

Some bling..oh yeah!

Place where you can see it daily!

What about you? Do you have a special word (or two) that you would like to sum up your 2012?
Would you share it with me?
Thank you so much to all of my new followers! I am thrilled your here and look forward to hearing from you.

  1. I love your word for 2012! Trust is something that oftentimes becomes difficult in many areas of our lives. We can only be responsible for ourselves. What others do with our TRUST is their choice to make. Blessings and hope you have success in TRUSTING more in 2012. I indeed need to learn to do this more, and some people make Trusting them very difficult. You've given me some food for thought. Thank you.

  2. I might have to steal your words because they are things I need to focus on too. I would also say "intentional". I want to be more intentional and present in what I do with my family and other things I am involved in. I want to get off life's "roller coaster"!

  3. Oh my goodness! I just adore that little Trust sign you made. I didn't know Hobby Lobby had cute stickers like that. That's such an inspiration! I haven't really thought about one word to sum up my new year. I'll have to give that one some thought.

  4. Kuddos to you for being so open and honest. Wouldn't this world be a better place if we all practiced being transparent?! I think that'd have to be my word...transparency.

  6. I was just over at Kim's when your little "Trust" frame caught my eye so I thought I'd come over and visit. So glad I did. Great post...I guess if I had to chose a word for 2012 it would have to be "Trust" too. I am a big time worrier/stresser and it is literally making me sick. I need to learn to let go and let God. I think I might just have to be a copy cat and take your sweet little frame idea :-)

    Hugs and Kisses,
    ♥Ana

  7. Awwww....thanks for sharing and allowing yourself to be vulnerable with your honesty. I have a few words to sum up 2012, probably none that I would want to put on a frame. LOL. Love your stuff, love your blog, and LOVE YOU!

  11. Oh wow! I saw this on Deb's followup to her newbie party this week...Somehow I missed your post.
    Anyway--
I like this project because you used vinyl stickers instead of a fancy printer / tool!

Anybody could do this if they have a HARDWARE STORE NEARBY! Perfect...
