Menu Chalkboard

Happy Friday!

Do you ever see something and think "I know exactly what I am going to do with that." Yes, of course you do, I knew I was in good company. When I saw this old door I knew immediately it was going to make a great menu chalkboard. Do you see the potential??

Simple lines, old wood in great shape just waiting to be painted and brought back to life
I don't have any during pics but I'm sure you get the idea..trusty Heirloom white and a little chalkboard paint and voila!!

I need to find something to cover the holes at the top but I love how it turned out! I need to take it to the shop and let it find a new home but I am really liking how it looks in my dining room. Do you want to keep everything you make or is it just me??

Have a great weekend my friends!
Off to do some treasure hunting today...hope to share so finds next week!

  1. Awesome idea! I had been searching for the perfect mirror or piece of art for forever that I could cover with chalk paint and all along I could have used a old door. It turned out so cute!

  3. Girl, I want to keep everything I buy for my etsy shop. That is not a good thing at all. Maybe that's why I have put my shop on vacation because I can't fit anymore in my home. :)

Love the chalkboard and love that you like sweet tea. That's the only way to drink it, isn't it?

    Blessings today, my friend.

  5. Lovely! Thanks for the inspiration. I bought some cabinet doors and stuck them in the garage years ago...they'll make great chalk boards!
