Boy Room Makeover

Well that was a long vacation...
Hope your all having a wonderful New Year!
Even though I was absent from the blog, I did keep up with several of your blogs and have enjoyed seeing so many great ideas.

As soon as the tree was down, I couldn't wait to get started on my first project for the new year.
A bedroom makeover for my boys! We've only been in our home for just over a year and never really did much to their rooms. Mainly because I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go so that just sat..and sat..until a few weeks ago.

The only things I purchased was the new bedding and lamp (Target) and paint.
Everything else I had around the house. I wanted to give the room more of an industrial feel and something a little more grown up. We are both very happy with the results.

Still need to replace pictures with some black and white updated and get a new clock (it decided to stop working). I used drop cloths for the curtains and all the accessories were from around the house. Pillow covers from Pottery Barn.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope some of you are still with me after that long hiatus.
I will be sharing my older sons room update next.

  1. The room looks so cozy and comfy. You did an amazing job. I love the idea of using a bookshelf as a headboard - so handy. Plus I love all the fun vintage items you have used for displaying everything. looks amazing.

  2. So classy! It looks so grown up! I can't wait to enter that phase with my boys. What an incredible, put together room!

  5. Nice, Tiff! I've missed your blogs! I need to have you over to see how the curtains turned out! . . . BEFORE you get TOTALLY preoccupied with a little one that is going to rock your world!
