How was your weekend?
Mine was quiet but I got a chance to work around the house and that is always a plus in my book.
After I got my younger sons room finished I thought my older sons room needed a little refreshing. Isn't that how it goes, you start one room and that leads to another and another...well you get it. This is my college students room and truth be known he's never here so I just wanted to give it a little more warmth but still keep a masculine feel on a budget of course.
The only purchases for this room were the curtains and the clock. Everything else were things I had on hand.
Sorry no before pics..
The doors lead out to a small atrium that is never used so I hung curtains to bring some warmth and pattern to the room. The old shutters I distressed with some Old White ASCP and propped behind the dresser. My son is a huge music lover and his albums fit perfect in the slats of the shutters.

The dresser was a $40 find. I painted it a flat black and replaced the hardware with brass knobs (Hobby Lobby).
Curtains from Target
Sorry I thought I had more pics but can't find them. You get the idea though...
Have you been busy with projects? I'm a little addicted now and keep moving around the house.
Heya i'm for the first time here. I found this board and I find It really useful & it helped me out much. I hope to give something back and help others like you aided me.

His bedroom is very nice. I really like how you dressed his bed. The shutters holding the albums is a great idea too.
