A Display Cabinet

Gosh, is it ever sooo hot! I know that most of you are feeling the heat too. It makes it almost impossible to get outside and do any painting but I am trying late in the day. Once I get started I try to do as much as I can at once.

I friend of mine had this green cabinet they were looking to get rid of and I knew instantly that I wanted to use it as a display in my space at the shop. The owner is moving it to a new location and I am excited about bringing in new things and styling it. Isn't that the funnest part?!

I liked the green color but the many years of wear and pen marks had taken its toll and it needed a fresh coat of paint. I settled on the trusty "Heirloom White" because its fast and again its 100 degrees outside. I need fast girls!! I also wanted to do something fun on the inside and when I found this cute contact paper at the Dollar Store I thought it was worth a try.

I used about three rolls for this project. There was a lot of waste but for only $3 no biggie.

Yes, I think I like it!

It never ceases to amaze me what a coat of paint can do for a piece of furniture.

Thank you to all my new followers and my long time followers. I'm glad you stop in every week and always appreciate your kind comments.

Have a beautiful week!

  3. I love your cabinet and love the contact paper on the inside.

I agree about ease. It's so nice when a project can be simple and still turn out so pretty.

    Have a great day, friend.
